AIL has two field sales divisions: Insurance Sales and Public Relations Sales. We are currently looking for motivated individuals to join our Public Relations Sales Team. Role Overview:
We are embarking on an exciting mission to build a dynamic Public Relations team by 2025. We are specifically seeking Labour Relations Consultants who have proven expertise and a strong network within the labour sector, including construction trades and government unions (e.g., OPSEU, CUPE). This role will play a pivotal part in shaping our labour relations strategy and fostering our ties within the union community.
Although this is a consulting position, it will involve promoting and selling the company’s brand and marketing programs, not products. Our PR team cultivates, maintains, and fosters professional relationships through in-person marketing to various affinity groups. Our unique approach to building relationships includes leveraging a variety of “no cost” programs to enhance value to affinity groups and their membership.
Key Responsibilities:
– Collaborate closely with leadership to develop and execute public relations strategies tailored for the unionized workforce.
– Serve as a subject matter expert in labour relations, providing insights, analysis, and guidance.
– Build and maintain strong relationships with union leaders and stakeholders. – Identify and leverage opportunities to promote AIL’s No Cost benefits for Labour Unions, Associations, and other member-driven organizations.
– Assist in developing communication materials that align with union standards and resonate with target audiences.
Qualifications:
– Extensive experience in labour relations, with a focus on unionized environments. – Strong knowledge of labour laws, collective bargaining processes, and union structures. – Proven track record of successful engagement with labour unions, including construction and government sectors.
– Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. – Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
